Bomdila – Dirang Getaway!

The small town of Bomdila is perched amongst the panoramic settings of the lofty ranges of the eastern Himalayas. It is a remote destination and like few other Indian towns, it has escaped the virtual tourist invasion in recent times. Bomdila is known for its scenic environs along with its Buddhist monasteries and apple orchids. It also attracts the adventure seeker with its numerous trekking trails.

Sometimes the best holidays are those which are far away from typical tourist destinations. Bomdila offers tourists just that, as not only is it off the grid to some extent, but is a wonderfully beautiful place. Given the small size of the town, tourists can just walk around and see all that there is to see. The monasteries in the area are not just great places to visit, but also offer a sense of serenity. While days can be spent exploring the scenery and quaint little corners of this town, nights can be spent resting and relaxing. The fact that there is very little nightlife proves beneficial as weary city dwellers get the rest they deserve on a holiday. However, seeing the absolutely pristine beauty of Bomdila, chances are that most travelers might not miss their pubs and clubs.
